Alpina heavily relies on the SoftCon products
SALES and ProductEngine and the SoftCon strategy of a central product
server. In the SALES sector, a comprehensive solution is nowadays
used for the products motor vehicle, household (contents and personal
liability), buildings, boats, assistance and legal expense. In addition,
Alpina uses all the additional SALES field service functions, such
as analyses, pending list, automatic generating of pending cases,
policy expiry check and support for standard documents. ProductEngine
supports the field service solution SALES with product logic for
validity checks, fixing of rates, offer control and underwriting,
as well as the administrative systems at Alpina. Consequently Alpina
is one of the first insurance companies with a single product server
that is integrated into all systems. This enables Alpina to launch
new products fast and cost-effectively and to suit existing ones
optimally to the market.

At Helsana, Sales has been used with ProductEngine
since last August after a development time of just under six months.
Long-term care insurance, daily benefits insurance, compulsory contribution
and supplementary insurance (Swiss accident insurance law) are supported.
Sales is associated with a CRM system via the XML interface of ProductEngine
in this application. About 100,000 proposals were drawn up within
the first 5 months. Not one of them contained an error in the premium
calculation. This can be attributed to the standardised actions
when implementing new products, the quality assurance and the strict,
tool-based check of the implemented insurance products.

Zürich owns
a licence for ProductEngine and for Sales which is valid worldwide
and is therefore in a position to quickly offer a comprehensive
solution to any company requiring a product server or a field service
system.

Züritel is Zürich's
original insurer. It relies on ProductEngine and on SalesWeb. Züritel's
supported insurance products include motor and home contents insurance,
personal liability, assistance and insurance for legal costs.In
the call center, ProductEngine is integrated into a call center
solution; SalesWeb and naturally also ProductEngine are used on
the Internet.
